Water your Garden



Our minds, could be likened to gardens. We can seed them with positive, or negative seeds. This is a positive thing, as we have a choice every day to choose happy thoughts! The negative, though, is this is a hard thing to do.

You see, our subconscious mind and core beliefs create our reality. If we believe we are bad at something, we will subconsciously confirm that we are. The truth is, we can be whatever we want to be! With a growth mindset, we can grow into whatever and whoever we want.

Starting is the hardest thing to do when it comes to anything, and shifting your viewpoint is really difficult if you are used to being negative (aren’t we all? It’s as if we are programmed for it!), so here are a few ideas to help you seed some positive thoughts in the garden of your mind!


1. Affirmations

Affirmations are positive statements we repeat to ourselves every day, write them on paper or on your mirror etc. Such as “I am confident and beautiful!”. Sounds silly, but over time these reprogram our subconscious mind to believe the statements. Then, our outer and inner reality begins to reflect our new core beliefs which is pretty exciting!


2. Mediation and Hypnosis

By meditating, we can quieten and begin to control our mind, meaning its easier to catch ourselves when we are thinking negatively and transmuting it into something positive! Plus, a quieter mind allows us to live more in the present, and perceive all the wonderful things around us already which we usually miss because we are thinking too much. 3. Reframing

Reframing is when we catch ourselves thinking negatively, and literally reframe to a positive perspective instead. Again, starting this is hard, but when in the swing of things we can reframe just about everything. For instance, instead of “I have to do the dishes” we can think “I get to make my home clean and lovely to live in”. Weird example maybe, but you get the gist (I hope!).

There’s just a few ideas on how to begin seeding more positive thoughts into the garden of your mind, try them out and see if your perspectives and outer reality change for the better!
